Melanie Green

Melanie Green, Provisional Psychologist – B Psych (Hons), Melanie Green psychologistCert Comm Services, AMAPS.

Melanie Green is a provisionally registered psychologist with M1 Psychology. Melanie is a warm and caring person who has had an interest in helping people (and animals) since a young age. Melanie’s passion for psychology started while completing a community services certificate and grew while volunteering for Edmund Rice Camps – a not for profit organisation which provides recreational camp programs for children, young people and families experiencing disadvantage.

Melanie’s special interest is the therapeutic health benefits that pets can provide for people. Animals have always played a large part in human society but only recently have we started to discover the many mental and physical health benefits they can provide. Many people have a close relationship with their pets and experiencing their loss can be as painful as losing a family member. Melanie is passionate about supporting and assisting clients through their grief and life transitions.

Melanie also has a keen interest in providing a range of psychology services for clients experiencing the following issues:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety and related disorders such as phobias
  • Stress
  • Loss of motivation
  • Feeling overwhelmed
  • Burnout
  • Career transition
  • Hoarding
  • Adolescents and children
  • Pets
