In addition, Susanne has a background in management and all that entails, including staffing matters, counselling staff, resolving conflict and managing critical incidents in the workplace.

Susanne primarily works as a psychologist with school age children and their families. This includes:

  • Conducting full cognitive assessments and providing reports for learning difficulties; giftedness; ADD/ADHD; ASD; special provisions for school and university for children, adolescents and adults; and liasion with schools;
  • parenting education;
  • family breakdown;
  • eparation anxiety and panic attacks in children and adjustment disorder across the lifespan;
  • depression and anxiety (mood disorders ) across the lifespan including social anxiety;
  • Counselling children and adults with learning difficulties, ASD, AHD;
  • Cross-cultural issues;
  • Loss and grieving;
  • General counselling for enhancing wellbeing, making life–changing decisions, and to enrich the life of the individual.

She is experienced in supporting and developing strategies for optimum psychological functioning in children, teenagers and adults.

In therapy, Susanne draws on evidence-based strategies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Schema Therapy, Neuropsychotherapy, and Narrative Therapy. In addition, Susanne also teaches her clients relaxation and mindfulness techniques to help improve their overall mental health.
